Hi all,

 

I'm trying desperately to configure my new work email (through SmarterMail Enterprise 12.3) so I can send and receive on Outlook 2013.  I'm not completely computer illiterate - I can usually add accounts with the best of them.  But this one has me stymied - I cannot, for the life of me, get Outlook to find the outgoing/SMTP mail server so that I can send successfully.  The closest I've gotten (after the greylist waiting game and a report of a "successful" test of the settings) results in an "error 550 - user not found" for every single email I try to send.

 

I know my incoming server is webmail.mydomainname.com, but that does not work for outgoing.  Nor does the more obvious smtp.mydomainname.com. I can't find it listed anywhere, and my boss does not know (we are a very, very small business).

 

Suggestions?
