Cursor jumping while composing email

Apologies, I can't seem to find a thread on this.

When my users are composing an email, about every 10 seconds or so, the window flashes and the cursor jumps automatically to the 'To:' field. At first it was an annoyance, but now as users are moving to the new system and using it more, it has become a serious performance issue. They may be in the middle of typing and not notice the cursor jump, and before they know it, they've typed a sentence or two in the 'To:' field. This isn't just happening on one PC, or one operating system, or one browser. We have W7, S2008, S2008R2, WXP, IE9-10-11 and Chrome in the environment. Everybody is experiencing this issue. Has anyone else experienced this problem, and if so, have they found a resolution?

Apparently it happens when the system starts to save the message draft

I can't be the only one experiencing this...lol. Anybody? Just to reiterate, the cursor is jumping to the 'To:' field every time SmarterMail does a background auto save of the message.
