Is there a way to edit the side menu for smartermail 12.2 mailboxes
Question asked by Eric Smith - 8/27/2014 at 12:44 PM
Answered
I would like to know if there is a way to delete certain tabs on the left menu on Smartermail 12.2 mailboxes. For instance, I do not want reports or RSS feeds to show to for my clients using smartermail. Is there anyway to remove those or hide them?

Secondly, is there a way to have the top left corner say the name of my company instead of displaying smartermail enterprise?

Thank you.

I believe you may be able to somehow control this via the custom CSS options in Smartermail.

I know that the logo has been done before for sure.

Eric, if you login as a system admin and double-click on any particular domain, under the Features tab you will find several features that you can enable/disable, for example, calendar, contacts, file storage, etc.  However, RSS feeds is not one of those items nor is the option to remove the reports entirely.  Please comment if that is something you would like added to our feature request list.

As for changing the name in the top left corner, that value is found in the en.xml file of the translations folder or as Steve Reid posted above.  However, you may not remove all references to SmarterMail or the copyright notice as found in the About Smartermail.

I also want to disable RSS (and if possible: Reports) in the sidemenu ;-)
