I am using SM 13.3, latest version

I am in Germany and using the translation pack. It works fine, but there is an issue with searching. While everything works as expected in the standard search, the advanced search will not find keywords containing non ascii characters (i.e. "grün"). Does anybody know, how to overcome this ?
