In Smartermail, I would like the ability to right click on an email in my inbox and select block and delete at the same time.

Currently you have to right click to "Block Sender", then you have to right click again to "Delete" the message.

Can you add an option that says "Block Sender  and Delete"  - It will be such a time saver.

That's a great idea.  A client mentioned this only the other day.

Thank you for the suggestion, Henry! I can see how that would be useful.

I can see how end users would get into a pickle if they were not paying the due attention when using the right click menu

This action should actually place the email in the deleted folder. When viewing the blocked email in the deleted folder the right click menu should have an unblock which restores the email as well.

Anyway we can get this status updated from "Under Consideration" to "Planned"

Hi all,

Thank you for your feedback! With the recent removal of Bayesian filtering, we have discussed some changes to the Block Sender / Mark Spam functionality, and we are open to additional modifications. One proposed planned is to move the selected messages out of the Inbox and into the Junk Email folder when the Block Sender button (renamed to Mark as Junk) is clicked. While this does not delete the messages, it does remove them from the Inbox, so I am going to mark this thread as Planned.

That said, because there are so many threads throughout the Community relating to the Block Sender / Mark Spam functionality, we are creating one centralized thread, linked below, to continue the discussion and ensure we are meeting your needs. This thread and other threads related to the topic will be Locked so we can continue this discussion in one place.

Please review our proposed changes, and participate in the discussion or Subscribe for updates:

Thank you!!

In Build 6911 (Dec 3, 2018) we changed the way the Block Sender feature functions. In a user's Spam Filtering settings, they'll find a Blocked Senders card. On this card, they can choose a block action of None, Move to Junk Email Folder, Move to Deleted Items Folder, or Delete. When a user selects one or more messages and chooses Block Sender, the sender's address will be added to the Blocked Senders list, and the block action will immediately take place on the selected messages and will occur on any future messages from the sender as well.
