Problem reported by Kevin Galligan - 11/27/2013 at 12:11 PM

I have an issue with some users that are using outlook 2013 and Exchange activesync.
1) There are times that it may take along time to sync to outlook while mobile devices are just fine. I have had situations were some emails are never brought over to outlook, these can be seen on the web or mobile just fine..
2) When a user tries to create mutiple contact calander event it does not send as from the correct user. Mutiple people calander event can not be saved in outlook if the time or date was changed, it shows as i am the creator so i dont have to acklowdge but some one else updtaed.

We have had a similar issue here three times:

1. The first time this occurred the issue was exactly as you described for #1. Due to a corrupt root file for the users Mailbox. I had to open a support ticket to have this resolved. There was some back-and-forth over 'size' of the ActiveSync account, but it was really due to finicky support by ActiveSync for special characters and the inability of SmarterMail to resolve those. Why this only worked occasionally is probably due to the way that ActiveSync was delivering items.

2. A user was having synchronization issues which was related to an Outlook plugin by QuickBooks/Quicken, this prevented mail from Synchronizing at some points, just sitting as if it were not receiving mail.

3. We currently are opening a support ticket for one user who occasionally has problems with synchronization where the users iPAD and iPHONE will receive messages without problem, but the Outlook (2013) clients will halt at various points. Sometimes reconfiguring the account will work, we did track one down to what appeared to be a corrupt event, but the users mail ceased a week later despite that. We do not have this problem with all users, or even our heaviest users.

Hopefully SmarterMail monitors these threads occasionally

Kind Regards,
Kevin.

I'll add to the thread:
Client uses Outlook 2013, Smarter Mail is less than 9 months old. They synch to iPhones / and use web mail.

In web calendar allday events and std events 9e.g wit a start finish time nad all day nticked) show in differnt colours.
They are seen in iPhone, web calendar.
All day events are not seen on Outlook 2013.
Attached outlook 2010 and it went perfectly.

Calendars attached as sharedcalenders (e.g. user is called calendar@domain.tld)  User (Bob) connects to that shared calendar by logging in as calendar@domain.tld and clicking connect to outlook.

Hi Kevin, I am facing the same issue too:

Do you get any solution on this?
