need to merge old and new emails

We migrated Smartermail to a new server but users of one of the domains did not have any old emails when they logged in. Upon investigation, we found that the folder of that particular domain that we copied from the old server to the new was not of the same size when it was extracted.The reason for this was a suspected issue with the network at the time that the files were being copied over the internet.
Smartermail works OK on the new server except that users of that one domain only had new emails. Can we copy the domain folder again from that old server and use Winmerge on the new server to combine the old and new emails on the users' mailboxes?

it should work... if you don't see all the mail after the merge then deleting mailbox.cfg from the users folders then restart smartermail.
