Unread message count is wrong

My inbox shows 4 unread messages, but when I filter by "unread" it doesn't show any unread messages.

What version are you running and what browser are you in? I'm on 13.1 in Chrome and currently have 2 unread messages: one in my Junk E-mail folder and one in my Portal Activity folder. When I click on each of those folders and apply the Unread filter, it works as expected. 
 
One thing to double check - when you apply the Unread filter, are you in your inbox or another folder? The filter will only apply to the folder you're currently in.

Hi Andrea, We're running 12.4.5364 and I'm in Firefox 34.0.5. It the inbox that I'm referring to, I haven't needed to filter any of the sub folders, yet. :)

Thanks for the info Jennifer! 12.4 is one version behind the latest 12.x minor release. Upgrading to the latest minor MAY resolve this issue, but unfortunately that's not something I can guarantee. Do you have version 13.x available to you? You could try and upgrade to see if this is resolved that way. Otherwise I'd recommend a support ticket to see what else is going on or to confirm this as a bug. If it IS confirmed as a software bug your ticket would be refunded back to you.

Hi Andrea, I'll remind the system admins about the software update. I'll wait on the update before going to a support ticket. It's only a minor thing. Thanks for your help!
