For security purposes, SmarterTrack limits the number of times a user can attempt to log in without success. By default, users are temporarily locked out of their account after 10 failed login attempts and will remain locked out for 5 minutes. If needed, a System Administrator can bypass the lockout or disable this feature by disabling brute force protection.

Applies to SmarterTrack 11.x-12.x

Follow these steps to disable brute force protection:

  1. Log into the SmarterTrack management interface as a System Administrator.
  2. Click on the Settings icon.
  3. Expand the Configuration folder.
  4. Click on Security in the navigation pane.
  5. Click the Options tab.
  6. Uncheck the setting Enable brute force protection.
  7. Click Save.
