On occasion, a system administrator may need to uninstall SmarterStats. For example, a system administrator may uninstall SmarterStats from its original server and move it to a new server to free up storage space on the hard drive. NOTE: If you are upgrading an existing SmarterStats installation, you do not need to uninstall the program.
Applies to SmarterStats 6.x -11.x
To completely remove SmarterStats from the server, follow these steps:
- Uninstall SmarterStats through Control Panel --> Add/Remove Programs
- Delete the SmarterStats software folder. The default location of this folder is C:\Program Files\SmarterTools\SmarterStats (Program Files (x86) on 64-bit machines).
- Delete the SmarterStats data folder, which typically contains the import logs and weblogs. The default location of this folder is C:\SmarterLogs.
If you are using SmarterStats Enterprise and need to uninstall the SmarterStats Remote Service Installer, follow the steps above on the remote server.
