White Labeling SmarterTools Products

SmarterTools allows customers to modify the look and feel of SmarterTools products by applying custom CSS in order to more closely match their identity. Full white-labeling the products is permitted, although any copyright notices hidden within source code comments and headers of the files must be retained. This requirement is fully defined in Section 9 of the product EULA, which can be found within the product installers and the online help for your product.

For more information on how to apply custom CSS to your installation, please search in the Knowledge Base for the product specific article. For tips on determining the CSS needed to make styling changes, please see, Use "Inspect Element" to Determine CSS Modifications.

How to remove the "Help" drop down menu in SmarterMail web mail interface? Our users are already confused why they get YOUR help page instead of OUR help page. It would be nice if those links were editable, but if not, we can settle for totally removing them.

Hi Jayson! You can hide the Help menu button by entering this CSS in the Custom CSS section of your installation: #help_resources { display: none; }

Please note that as a System Administrator you can make these changes on a domain level by impersonating a domain; however, you will not be able to see the applied changes while impersonating a domain. You'll need to log out and log in with the Domain Admin login to see the CSS changes. (This is to prevent domain administrators from making interface changes that hide settings or make it so System Admins cannot modify what's been changed.)

Also, just so you're aware, in version 14.x (currently in BETA) you have the ability to add your own custom link to the Help menu button. This can be used to direct your users to your own help documentation or contact page.

Hope this helps!
