Text Color, Email editing

Hello, My users are reporting and I have confirmed that there is a problem in webmail, when writing an email and trying to edit text colour. when you choose a colour to change text the cursor jumps to the beginning of mail body.

EDIT: "Background Colour" has the same effect, choose colour and cursor goes to the begining of body


Build 8860 (Apr 4, 2024)
Not working in:
  • Firefox 124.0.2 (64-bit)
  • LibreWolf 124.0.1-1
  • Chrome Version 123.0.6312.107 and 123.0.6312.123
  • Edge: Version 123.0.2420.81

I would like to receive a SmarterMail custom build regarding this basic user issue.  Our clients send colored text all the time.  Trust me.
