I wanted to ask if anyone here is experiencing the same problem.

The mail arrives in Outlook (MAPI) and is read.

Now the message is labelled with a category

After a short time, the "Read receipt" icon appears next to the message, which is not correct.

I have now really tested a lot, Outlook 2016, 2019, O365 in German and English. Also WIN 11 in German and English. Windows Server 2019 and 2022, different locations due to different server locations in Germany and the USA. All installations are completely new installations without virus scanners or anything else that could cause problems.

Settings in Outlook regarding read confirmation were also checked.

Actually, this symbol should not appear at all in a normal message but only in a mail that receives the read receipt.

SmarterMail version 8860, but it also occurs with the version before that. Since categories were introduced in SmarterMail.

The SmarterTools support team is trying very hard, but cannot reproduce the error. That's why I wanted to ask here if anyone knows or can reproduce the behaviour. Unfortunately, I can't think of anything else I can do about it.
