DKIM and Microsoft
Problem reported by Martin Schaible - 3/13/2024 at 7:39 AM

Hello

We still are in troubles sending Mails to outlook.com. We tested with several domains from our server. We retested DKIM, DMARC, SPF of several domains. Eveything looks great.

outlook.com refuses all mails with this message: "domain mydomain.ch does not pass DMARC verification and has a DMARC policy of reject". We tested with several domains from our server.

I don't know how microsoft tests a domain, it's very annoying. Btw, sending to gmail.com works good. You can inspect the results of testing: DKIM and DMARC are marked as "pass".

I also tried to find a support form for technical issues at Microsoft, which was not successful.

Any idea, what i could do? Are we sure, that SmarterMail build 8818 is not the cause of these problems?

Thanks

Martin

It is always fun to answer my question by myself:

"Fixed: When you send an email over SMTP, Outlook.com / Office365 will fail the DKIM check due to their modification of the Authentication-Results header."

Today it's time for an update
