Smartermail 13 and Barracudas
Question asked by PJ McGhee - 12/3/2014 at 3:40 PM
Unanswered
Hello,

I have a Barracuda in front of my SM 13 server for inbound and outbound emails. When the Cuda tries to deliver an email to a mailbox that is full, it goes into a deferred state on the Cuda and sits in the queue for 48 hours. Barracuda tells me that the SM server is setting the state to deferred and this is why the Cuda allows it to sit there. Ideally, I'd like the Cuda to reject the message at that point. Barracuda says that will happen if SM set the state to rejected and not to deferred. Any ideas?

Thanks! PJ

Hey PJ I don't have answer for your question but I do have a question for you. I also have a Barracuda and I am not sure the best way to use it with Smarter Mail. Do you have all your mail go to the Barracuda first (MX records are the Barracuda) or is there a way to have Smarter Mail send incoming mail to the Barracuda then get it back to process once it is cleaned up?
