Can't login in Firefox with LastPass
Problem reported by David O'Leary - 12/1/2023 at 10:16 AM
Resolved
After upgrading to the latest version of SmarterMail, I can no longer login when using Firefox. As I type into the Email Address or Password field, it clears out the box. It works fine with Edge and Chrome and has always worked fine in the past prior to the latest version. I have LastPass installed, not sure if that is a factor.

In the JavaScript console, I am seeing the following error:
Content-Security-Policy: The page’s settings blocked the loading of a resource at eval (“script-src”). angular-v-100.0.8664.22082.8dbbacee91bce00.js:1295:6

Hi David,

I'm sorry you're having trouble logging in! If you can temporarily disable your LastPass extension, this will allow us to know whether that extension is interfering.

In the meantime, however, I've submitted a support ticket so we can review this with you firsthand.

Kind regards,

Hello,

As discussed on our ticket this appears to be a bug in 8664 (Sep 21, 2023).
This has since been fixed in the beta.
If anything else comes up please let us know!

Thank you,

I did as Andrea suggested and disabled the LastPass extension and am still seeing the problem. Waiting for the next release to see if that fixes it.

Hi David, sorry to hear you're still having trouble with this! We recently learned of another LastPass setting that can affect these behaviors and I wanted to see if you can test with this turned on for me:
Recently LastPass stopped adhering to those by default and so turning that on should do the trick with any luck. We do have some fixes in and around these areas coming in a release soon though as well so definitely keep an eye out for that.

Kyle,
Checking that setting did not make a difference. But, as I mentioned on the post above. This issue still persisted after disabling LastPass so I don't think it is a LastPass thing.

I'd missed that part David, sorry about that! With LastPass disabled the only thing that should be replacing usernames/passwords in fields would be the browser itself. I myself have had trouble with this in the past and ended up disabling the password saving functionality entirely, though this was in Chrome.
