SmarterMail does offer a file storage option as well as the ability to link your account to a separate Google Drive account. That way you can simply link to the file and allow people to download it rather than adding it as an attachment and sending it to each recipient.

 

As an aside, the use of "shared folders" is on the table for a future release as well. However, the file storage or Google Drive options are available now.
