7429: Clients Unable to Send to Us: Barracuda / RSET
Problem reported by Tim DeMeza - 5/5/2020 at 10:07 AM
Submitted
I need some assistance from the community.

I reported an issue on a ticket and it started with a single client.  They were sending to us fine a week or so ago until I upgraded to the latest MAPI builds.  Now I am on 7429.

Please check your SMTP logs for a single day if you have a lot of volume, search for "RSET"

Then once you have your log file open, CTRL+F in the browser to search and search for "Barracuda" and see if you have all inbound emails sent via a Barracuda gateway/anti-spam? server being RSET.  We are not receiving any emails from anyone using Barracuda.

I checked my domain/IP and made sure we were not on any black lists.  All looks good.  So I am really concerned because my clients are eventually getting unable to deliver messages and we are not receiving important emails.  People are getting frustrated.

Thanks for your help!

-Tim

I have a ticket open for this, but I now have confirmed at least 3 customers of mine cannot send us emails due to this issue.  All are using a Barracuda appliance and during the send process issuing a RSET command and the email never comes through.  Again, I am asking anyone else that may be able to help to confirm if this is just my server, or a larger issue.  It is critical to me at this time.
