ClamAV Not Working

Anyone know how to fix ClamAV not running? Have restarted services and the machine with no joy.

Hi John. This looks like a firewall issue. Please be sure that port 3310 is open. I have seen this issue many times in the past and opening that port fixed it. I hope this helps. Thanks!

You shouldnt need to open any ports if ClamAV is running on 127.0.0.1...

I know this cannot be a firewall issue. It's been working fine for months and no server changes have taken place other than software updates.

Additionally, SmarterTools emailed me a link for a download today for another issue and we are now starting to get the viruses increasing which means if the world was a nice place (e.g. virus free) it has turned back to the world where we all seem to hate each other of having viruses.

So, it looks like the problem has fixed itself by installing a newer version of the software.

I was on the 12/20 update before. I try to update same day or a the next day of your releases.
