where is active sync user activation? v16
Question asked by Richard Frank - 6/22/2018 at 5:13 AM

I've been clicking 15 minutes through the user settings but I can't find where to activate EAS for a user. Can't find it in the KB too. In v15 it was with the user settings.
Where / how do I enable EAS for a user?

Should be under the domain's settings, when you login as a domain admin. Under "ActiveSync" you should be able to add / remove.

Hi Richard,

It looks like the user setting was removed in version 16.x. As a System Administrator, go to Settings > ActiveSync Mailboxes. If ActiveSync User Management is enabled in the domain's configuration options, Domain Administrators can find it at Domain Settings > ActiveSync Mailboxes.

Thanks Andrea,

As system admin I can add delete users from eas, it would also be easy if I could enable disable EAS management for the domains there. Now it's just a list.

In that list, I see all the domains, also those not enabled. I only need to see those domains enabled, less scrolling. Less loading, that page is slow.
Would be nice if I could enable the EAS setting for a domain there, not only the user .

Hi Richard. ActiveSync is enabled for all domains, which is why they all show up in the By Domain list. However, if you click on the Self-Managed column header, you can sort those that are enabled to the top of the list. I think it's a good idea to allow you to adjust the limits on this tab as well. I'll be sure to forward the suggestion to the development team for their consideration.
