IMAP not sync read status on send/receive

Hi, i have a problem with IMAP.
The sync about read/unread message status, is working just when you open the program used for connection (Outlook, thunderbird) and not when you do send and receive.
 
I try to explain better:
 
If you leave open Outlook connected to a mailbox in imap and at the same time you open the webmail if you mark a massage on webmail read/unread and do a send/receive the status is not update on Outlook
We have SM 15.5 and i try with Outlook 2010 - 2013 and Thunderbird.
 
Any idea?
