Mac OS X Calendar App will not connect to Exchange Calendar (5801)

Hello,

I was using CalDAV and wanted to try enabling the exchange calendar instead so I removed the CalDAV account in Mac OS X (El Capitan latest) and ticked Calendar in the exchange account.  I am not getting events as I see on my iPhone using EAS in the iPhone calendar.  Contacts (using exchange instead of CardDAV) are working properly.  I tried restarting the Windows service, still nothing.  I have a bang/exclamation next to the account on the left side bar in the Calendar app so there is an error somewhere for some reason.

I'm using the latest which is .5801 of SM Enterprise Edition.

P.S. not sure why I can't attach an image here, I'm not linking one that I have to maintain somewhere.

There was an error attempting to send your changes to the exchange server.

This may be the issue, a cache problem, working this now:

Clearing the cache files didn't work, rebooting didn't work, tried renaming the Calendars folder in Library to Calendars-old to get a very clean reset, after reboot, still same issue.

Back to CalDAV - cannot get EWS with Calendar to work, Contacts and Email are fine.
