Session/device based placement of the preview pane

Under Consideration
Could this setting be cookie based?
 
On my desktop (where screen real-estate is bountiful) I love having the preview pane on the right side however on my laptop I like it on the bottom
 
Having to constantly toggle it is becoming a burden.

Brian, I have added this to our features request list.  We are currently in the process of "overhauling" our interface for the next major release.  I will bring this up with the dev. team and interface designers.
