Mobile View - Android Email Access..
Idea shared by John Schroeder - 8/24/2014 at 4:37 PM

Im using the Android to connect to our mailserver, but I have a somewhat unique setup and I dont know of a good Android mail client that will work for me...  Here is the issue...

I have several domains (aliases) linked to all of our users.  We manage several brands and we need to be able to manage all emails from one email account per user, so we all need to be able to recieve and send from several domains, for example... john@company1.com, john@company2.com, john@company3.com.

Smarter Mail webmail client makes this easy because when I receive an email on one of those addresses I simply reply and it goes back out as that email.  I have separate signatures attached to those emails etc, all is good.

But when it comes to common email apps, I am not able to find one that will allow me to do this easily.  I can reveive the emails on all those addresses, but sending forces me to use the account im logged in as.

Any thoughts on how to do this?

Im using the mobile interface of the smarter mail webclient and it works ok, but I have lots of grouped folders and its kinda of messy to manage my inboxes, if I could group and expand those folders like you can in the standard web interface it would be great, but in the mobile one i cant do that, unless its something we can modify?

Any help in this area is greatly appreciated.

John

John, currently there is no option in the mobile interface to group and expand subfolders.  I am changing this thread from question to idea and adding it to our feature request list for further consideration.

After further review with the dev. team, we recognize the value of this feature request.  However, WAP access for mail is a dying trend.  Tablets are able to access the full SmarterMail interface.  At this time, SmarterTools will devote its resources to other feature requests.

As with all community ideas, if this particular idea receives increasing up-votes and visibility, then we will reconsider its future inclusion into the product.

Can't you just set your mobile browser to request the full site?
