Microsoft Exchange Web Services is available as an optional add-on to SmarterMail and is associated to a specific SmarterMail license key at the time of purchase. Once you have purchased this add-on, you will need to reactivate your SmarterMail license key.
NOTE: For mailboxes that will process and store large volumes of email, it is recommended that they be set up to connect to SmarterMail using IMAP as EWS performance suffers when processing large volumes of email.
Follow these steps to reactivate SmarterMail:
- Log in to SmarterMail as the system administrator.
- Click the Settings icon.
- Click Licensing from the menu on the left.
- Click Reactivate in the content pane toolbar.
SmarterTools limits the initial number of activations any product can use. If you attempt to reactivate your license but receive an error, please contact the SmarterTools sales team via email (email@example.com) or live chat. We can work with you to add additional activations as needed.
