Enable LDAP for Domains

Domain administrators can add new SmarterMail users from the active directory using the LDAP protocol. This feature can be used to save time and is very useful when importing multiple users from an existing LDAP database such as active directory.

NOTE: LDAP integration will only function if SmarterMail is on the same domain as the LDAP server you are trying to connect to.

Applies to SmarterMail 7.x - 15.x

Follow these steps to configure LDAP for a domain:

1. Log in as the system administrator.
2. Click the Domains icon.
3. Select the desired domain in the navigation pane.
4. Click Edit in the content pane toolbar. The domain settings will load in a new window.
5. Click the Features tab.
6. Select the Active Directory integration checkbox.
7. Click Save.
