Configure eM Client for Exchange Web Services

Exchange Web Services (EWS) is a newer data synchronization protocol that seamlessly syncs SmarterMail messages, contacts, calendars and tasks with eM Client.

NOTE: Before you can configure a mailbox to sync using the Exchange Web Service technology, you must activate the Exchange Web Services add-on. For more information, please refer to the KB article Activate Exchange Web Services.

Applies to SmarterMail Enterprise 9.x-15.x

Follow these steps to set up eM Client to sync using Exchange Web Services:
 
  1. Within eM Client, go to the Tools menu and click on Accounts then New account...
  2. Expand the Automatic Setup section, enter your SmarterMail login credentials and click Start Now.
  3. Make any necessary modifications to the account's display names to be used within eM Client and click Next.
  4. Click Finish to complete the configuration.
