SmarterStats Leased License Deactivates

All SmarterTools leased licenses require the their installations to call back to the activation servers. If our products do not call back to the activation servers, the license will deactivate. In order for SmarterTools products to call back to the activation server properly, the product website must be active. Should any product installation go several days without being accessed, the product website will not be running and the installation will be unable to perform a call back.

SmarterPing is an open source application developed by SmarterTools that will send requests to the SmarterStats Web interface to keep the website active. As stated, keeping the website active enables the product call back to the activation servers.
