Export Logs from a SmarterStats Site

SmarterStats site administrators have the ability to export a site's SmarterLogs to an IIS or Apache text-based log file. 

Applies to SmarterStats 11.x

Follow these steps to export a site's logs:

  1. Log into SmarterStats as the site administrator.
  2. Click the Settings icon.
  3. Expand the Site Settings folder and click Export Logs in the navigation pane.
  4. Use the Start Date and End Date fields to specify the desired date range.
  5. In the Output Type field, select the desired log file format from the list.
  6. Click Begin Export in the content pane toolbar. The logs will begin to be exported.
  7. Once the export has completed, click the Download button to save the file to the local machine.

 

Applies to SmarterStats 6.x - 10.x

Follow these steps to enable log exporting for a site:

  1. Log into SmarterStats as the system administrator.
  2. Click the Sites icon. A list of existing sites will load in the navigation pane.
  3. Click the desired site. The site details will load in the content pane.
  4. Click Edit in the content pane toolbar.
  5. Click the Advanced tab.
  6. In the Export Directory field, browse to the folder that in which the exported logs should be saved when a user/site administrator downloads the exported log files.
  7. In the Export URL field, type the URL for the exported log files. This is the absolute link that is set up in order to allow the user to retrieve the log file when the export is completed. Typically, you'll use the full URL for the site, such as http://www.example.com.
  8. Click Save.

Follow these steps to export the logs:

  1. Log in to SmarterStats as the site administrator.
  2. Click the settings icon.
  3. Expand the Site Settings folder and click Export Logs in the navigation pane.
  4. Use the Start Date and End Date fields to specify the desired date range.
  5. In the Output Type field, select the desired log file format from the list.
  6. Click Begin Export in the content pane toolbar. The logs will now be exported to the specified file path.
