Delivery receipts not working

Good morning,
 
We have a client that uses delivery receipts heavily with their email communication.
 
Is that not a working feature in SmarterMail?
We are currently on 12.3

SmarterMail does not support delivery receipt but read receipts.  The person who receives the email can choose not to send the read receipt back.

Hi, but sending of read receipts also does not work now (SM v. 12.5.5409):
 
The problem is in the Disposition-Notification-To header, especially in the sender's name. If there is no “Name to display” part preceding sender's email address, or there is no special encoding of this  text string, it works well:
Disposition-Notification-To: John Doe <sender@ourdomain.cz>
But if there is name with special characters (ie: +ěščřžý), the header looks like this:
Disposition-Notification-To: =?UTF-8?B?K8SbxaHEjcWZxb7DvcOhw63DqQ==?=
 <sender@ourdomain.cz>
It doesn't matter which encoding is used here. Confirmation message in SM webmail interface differ too:

In the first case it begins with „John Doe has requested that …“, but in the second one it begins with “The sender has requested…”.

Return receipt message’s headers looks like this (in first case):
From: "=?utf-8?Q?Jan_Angelovi=C4=8D?=" <recipient@ourdomain.cz>
Reply-To: recipient@ourdomain.cz
To: sender@ourdomain.cz
Message-ID: <125e599896d643c8824faba9eba16c80@mail.ourdomain.biz>
But in the second situation, To header if empty at all:
From: "=?utf-8?Q?Jan_Angelovi=C4=8D?=" <recipient@ourdomain.cz>
Reply-To: recipient@ourdomain.cz
To:
Message-ID: <6cb0e89906b146a09d0d9c4e1c343f7a@mail.ourdomain.biz>

And therefore no message (about reading of email) returns back to the original sender. I tested it on Thunderbird 24.6.0 (as a sender), but incorrect return receipts are generated for almost all our customers, so it has been some issue with SmarterMail.

Will delivery receipts be added in the future, since many users are using Outlook and have the ability to check the specific checkbox?

Is there any news for this feature? Customers that I have migrated from Mailenable, Kerio Connect and MS Exchange are all complaining about this lack ...

Any news on that? There are many customers that are requesting it!
some of them have already asked us to change the system with one that supports it...

Delivery receipts are slated for inclusion in SmarterMail 17.

I'm really excited and look forward to the release of v.17 (and also a beta where you can test all the new features, especially the MAPI provider for Outlook ...)!
