Duplicate Folders are Confusing
Idea shared by kevind - January 19 at 9:22 AM

Having duplicate folders (Inbox, Drafts, Junk Email, etc.) in the folder pane will be confusing for users. Example:

I'm not aware of any other webmail apps that do this. I suggest not duplicating the folders below the line. Instead, just show the user-added ones.

Maybe you're trying to copy Outlook with its "Favorites" section? If so, label the top part as Favorites (like Outlook does) and give the user the ability to add/remove folders from that section.

Hey Kevin,

Thanks for your post! We appreciate the feedback. Having a portion displaying just the default email folders seems to be a standard across some webmail interfaces that I'm familiar with, like Outlook and Gmail. Though, admittedly, they don't duplicate those folders in the other list as well. That being said, I personally love your idea of making the top portion an adjustable Favorites section and you have my upvote :)

I saw this before using IMAP in Outlook (with SM 15)
Just login with IMAP and you will get so extra folders too.
Not sure if this is on the Outlook side or on SM's side.
I thought this could be a result of localized folder names, but your screenshot seems to be English so that shouldn't be the issue.

Hey guys,

This request has been fulfilled in 16.0.6292, as the email folders are no longer duplicated in both sections. Default folders (Inbox, Deleted Items, Drafts, Junk Email, Sent Items) will be displayed at the top. Any custom or shared email folders will be displayed below.
