Server 2016

Anyone got it up and running on it yet? Running into a few issues with a runtime error. Maybe a .NET 4.6 issue? Followed the regular setup to get it working on IIS and getting this now:

Server Error in '/' Application.

Runtime Error

Description: An exception occurred while processing your request. Additionally, another exception occurred while executing the custom error page for the first exception. The request has been terminated.

Hi Robbie.  The last time I saw this IIS message, I was able to fix it by stopping and then restarting IIS itself.

Thanks Rod. I've tried that a bunch too. Both IIS, the site itself, the server... I verified that ASP.NET settings are the same across our primary server, our backup server, and the new backup server we're trying to bring online. I couldn't find anything else in the forums about someone using Server 2016 yet though...

Hello all.  If anyone comes across this error when installing SmarterMail on Server 2016, the fix for this issue is to make sure that the Network Service account is running the SmarterMail application pool, and the account has full control over the following two folders:
C:\Windows\Temp
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v.4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files

Works fine for me on Server 2016! Just using the Network Service account works fine already, didn't need to give the account full control over the two folders :)

Thanks Rod, it worked perfect. We had a fresh AWS 2016 VM that was refusing to run the site and those perms were the issue. Thanks again Rod!
