Hey Steve,

When browsing emails in the web interface, do you have 3 window panes available? (The navigation pane with your mailbox folders, the content pane with the list of emails, and the preview pane where the contents of the email is displayed.) If you have an email selected in the content pane, you can move through the list by using the up and down keys on your keyboard.

Thank you for your response. I do not have the preview pane open because I do not want to accidentally open SPAM. I know I can use the arrow keys to navigate up and down the email list in the navigation pane, but what I'd like to do is move from an open email to the next or previous email without having to first close the open email, a feature available in most other email clients.

Hi Steve,

Thank you for your response. At this time, there is no way to navigate through emails when they're viewed in the popped out window. I know there are other clients that offer this functionality, and I can see how it would be useful. SmarterMail's interface will be getting a drastic facelift in 16.x; I will be sure to suggest this functionality.

I'm going to change this thread from a Question to an Idea so we can facilitate tracking on the request.

Thanks!

Thanks. On your suggestion I've opened the preview pane to make navigation easier for me until the functionality I desire is added.

Steve, if you're worried about using the preview pane:
I do not have the preview pane open because I do not want to accidentally open SPAM.
Here's a suggestion -- just go into Settings and check this box:

Then the spammer will not know that you've opened the message.

Thanks. I'll do that.
