What are people using for Android calendar syncing (caldav)?

I have been using SmarterMail for a while currently have 14.2 installed. I would like to synchronize myandroid calendar with my SmarterMail calendar. I have tried a few free aps, and none seem to work, or I do not know how to configure them.

What apps are being used (I have a Samsung S6) and are there any tricks to make it work?

I used CardDAV-Sync Free and it seemed to work well, made by the same person is CalDav-Sync for 2.49 I imagine it would work well too.

I use CalDAV-Sync 0.4.27 by Marten Gajda and it works great on every Android device I've tried to use it on (maybe 50 different devices).
