pidgin keeps disconnecting

I've got a client who wants to use Pidgin for chat.  It connects but after a few minutes it disconnects, you can reconnect but again after a few minutes it disconnects.

Are they on multiple clients or computers, make sure their resource id is unique. This can happen if they are logged in from multiple places.
