File Repository (AKA File Manager)

While I see there is a "File Manager" in the KB and News sections... Why can't the File Manager be opened up for the entire management portal? Our company could use a File Repository for a variety of reasons. Possibly to send files to users via ticket responses or as a place to store forms that need to be filled out by agents regarding certain tickets.

Would SmarterTools consider opening the "File Manager" as a tool that can be access right from the management portal and not just through certain areas? If so, then as a companion feature, add security permissions as to who can view, add, upload, delete, etc... to certain folders.

Just a thought...would be a nice ability I think.

I initially wondered the same thing...until I saw that you can save files per canned messages (which I think is a little better, imo). Create a canned message, attach a file. Every time you use the canned message, the file should be attached.

Thank you for that suggestion. That is a nice alternative.

However, I speak only from knowing my users... Having access to the File Repository would still be a really nice feature.
