How do I view all the NEW Content posted - I'm getting so confused.

I don't know what I seen before or what I read before.  How do I see all un-read posts/comments.

There is no read/unread View.  Please look at the Subscribe functionality below.

The Recent View is a list of all threads sorted by the most recent reply

The Votes View is simple. Just the most voted up threads in descending order.

The My Activity View are the threads you have posted in and are sorted by your most recent posts

The My Subscriptions View (which will be released soon) will show you all threads that you subscribed to and want to follow. This view will be sorted by most recent reply.  You will also get an email regarding the threads you subscribe to.  Anytime you reply to a thread, it will auto-subscribe you.

When you change any of the SEARCH criteria above (categories, types etc.) it will filter based on the View you are on.

We anticipate having additional Views and look forward to the feedback.

This is a test to see if a comment bumps the post up, or if it needs to be a reply

Ok, Here's the issue..

If someone post a reply, then the thread is bumped to the top. If someone posts a comment, The thread doesn't move to the top.

Should they both bump the thread to the top.

Also if a thread has 18 replies, then someone posts 4 comments intermix on those 18 replies, the person reading the thread again, has to scan the entire thread to see what the new comments are. This is really confusing and illogical, reminds me of stack overflow.

I would really like to see ALL NEW CONTENT and not have to play guesswork as to where in the thread the new content is..

Maybe if the new content was color'ed so it stands out, so I can quickly identified what was added would be helpful.

Good comments.  Please propose that idea under SmarterTrack.  That way we can discuss it out and let people Vote it up.  I will probably be one of those people, I see value in it.

We are now working on an Read / Unread View.  And we will be looking at doing something when viewing the Thread itself to show what is new.

Read and unread is in now.  Topics on the main Threads page are bold when unread.  When viewing a Thread anything that has changed your last view of the Thread will be highlighted and bold.  Subscriptions and updates are changing via Email to be better looking and utilize our new read and unread states.

Can we be allowed to set a default view? I would like mine to default to unread when I enter from root

We don't have a way to set the default view but we are now storing the view for your entire session as well as your search criteria etc.
