Crash with Visitor Column Change
Problem reported by VIP SUPPORTAL - 8/25/2014 at 5:08 PM
Resolved
I was viewing my Visitors tab and proceeded to customize my column data. System crashed,  never resolved. Attempted to clear history, use new browser - no luck.

Checked ~ 12 hours later and still crashed with the following message:

This error has been logged and can be found in the View Logs page as well as in the file system. If you have questions, please refer to the Online Help or SmarterTools Knowledge Base.

Where is the View Logs page and/or the file system? I searched the help desk, community and KB could not find anything.

Hi
Your log files are in your SmarterTrack Folder -> src -> SmarterTrack.MRS -> App_Data -> Logs i would check the Errors.log for any errors that may have occured. I would also check your IIS to make sure its up and running. If you are hosted you may need to contact your service provider. And when you say 'visitor window' is that your chat link page? or another brand?

Ashley,

Is this in the Management interface or on my local computer? I can't find it in either.

Are you not my service provider? I am using the hosted version of the help desk.

Hi VIP,
You are hosted with us so we will need to review the log files on our end. Which section is this occurring in?

Edit: From the error logs I can see this is happening in the Who's On section. We are looking into it, I will reply again when I have more info for you.

I was able to modify the viewable columns on your install so that the CurrentReferrer column is no longer visible. This prevents an error that was occurring with this column being visible. I have added that to our bug list so that you may re-enable it once we publish a fix. Thank you for reporting this issue to us.

We discovered an issue with the CurrentReferrer column being visible in Who's On. We will be addressing this problem and a fix will be issued in an upcoming minor update.
