BUG: SM 13.x Virus Quarantine is a loop...
Problem reported by Joe Wolf - 3/11/2015 at 8:48 PM
Submitted
I have a message in my Virus Quarantine that is not a virus.  I select it and hit the Action | Resend.  It goes into the spool and then right back into the Virus Quarantine.  No way to actually deliver the message, and it's NOT a virus.  False Positive.

This is not the way the Virus Quarantine was supposed to work.  The Action | Resend should override virus scanning and deliver the message.

Yes, that should be marking the message to skip virus scanning when it is resent from the quarantine.

We will test that and fix it assuming we can reproduce the issue.

Thanks for catching this Joe, and thanks Byron for looking into this.

I thought it was just me that was having this problem, but since we so rarely get False Positives caught in the SmarterMail Quarantine I didn't consider the possibility of it being a bug.

Hi Bryon,

Have you been able to reproduce this yet?  I am still having this issue with last week's SmarterMail v13.6 release.  It rescans it as a virus and puts it back into the quarantine.

Thanks,
-dave
