Unable to run Commtouch check - Cyren service availability issue?

Does anyone know why this is happening and what we can do to fix it? It started on 2/23/15 and we saw many thousands of failures like this on 2/24/15 (26780 in total) between 10:03 AM EST to 12:18 PM EST. 
 
Does this mean the Cyren service was unavailable?

Have you tried restarting the server?

No, I have not because this isn't occurring all the time. Most of the time Commtouch checks/reports just fine, but of course, when it doesn't, that's when users notice.
 
Here is from just a few minutes ago - it's working again:
