How To - Cannot Activate SmarterTicket

Applies to: SmarterTicket 2.x

Check the permissions on the c:\SmarterTicket, \Attachments, \Config, \ChartImages, and \Skins folders.

For Windows Server 2003, the NETWORK SERVICE user needs full control over these folders and for Windows 2000 Server the user is ASPNET.

You may also need to add https://www.smartertools.com to the list of trusted sites in Internet Explorer.

Check and make sure that outbound port 443 (https) is not blocked.

Also, make sure that the system date and time is correct. 

Additionally, the Collation on MySQL databases must be set to "latin_swedish_ci" (the default) for the proper activation to be read from the database upon login.
