Troubleshooting - User cannot submit a new ticket

Problem: 

When trying to Submit a Ticket as an Anonymous User, SmarterTicket displays the following message:

There are no recipients available to receive tickets. Please contact your administrator to submit a ticket.

Resolution:


The problem is that there are no Departments in SmarterTicket set up to receive tickets. In order to resolve this issue please do the following:

There must be at least one Department set up to receive tickets. 

  1. Login to SmarterTicket as the System Administrator
  2. Go to: Settings | Departments and Groups
  3. Click a Department that you would like to receive tickets from the web interface.
  4. In the Edit Department dialog, make certain that the Web Tickets checkbox (under Department Settings) is checked.
  5. Click Save
